Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
