The Turin Giants Appoint Previous Italian National Team Manager Luciano Spalletti

Juventus have named former Azzurri boss Spalletti to take the helm until the end of the season.

Spalletti steps in for the Croatian manager, who was dismissed post the Lazio setback last weekend.

Tudor arrived at the club in March as Thiago Motta's replacement but exited following a seven-month stint after an eight-game winless streak.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points adrift of Napoli at the top after nine rounds.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
